Dear Families,
This morning, as part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we conducted a scheduled fire drill during Summer Academy. This was just a drill—there was no emergency.
We followed the Standard Response Protocol from the “I Love U Guys” Foundation, using the “Evacuate” action. Students and staff did an excellent job responding quickly and safely.
Practicing these drills helps us ensure that everyone knows what to do in the unlikely event of a real emergency. Thank you for your continued support as we prioritize the safety and well-being of all students.
WCPS families, as you gear up for Back to School shopping, we want you to be aware of an important change. iPads across the school system have been refreshed to a newer model and are ready to go for students' return this September. The new model now requires headphones and earbuds to be USB-C compatible, so be sure to check that compatibility when purchasing from your child's school supply list.
