Dear Pocomoke Elementary Families,
We are excited to begin planning for Summer School 2026. This year, summer school at Pocomoke Elementary will be offered by invitation only.
Beginning today, May 7, invitation letters will be sent home with selected students in grades PreK4 through 2nd grade. These invitations will include additional details about the program and next steps for registration.
Similar invitation letters for selected 3rd grade students to participate in the Pocomoke Middle School Summer Academy will be sent home soon.
If your child receives an invitation, we strongly encourage participation, as the program is designed to provide targeted academic support and help students build confidence and skills before the start of the next school year.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Pre-K & Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is now open. If your child is turning 3, 4, or 5 by September 1, 2026, it's time to get them registered!
Needed Documentation:
Child's Birth Certificate
Proof of residency
Record of child's immunization and blood lead level test
Proof of income (for PK only)
Visit our website (www.worcesterk12.org) for more information and to start the registration process.

Our scheduled lockdown drill has now been completed successfully. All students and staff followed procedures as expected, and normal school activities have resumed.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to practice important safety protocols to keep our school community prepared and safe!
At this time, our school is conducting a scheduled lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety. These drills are practiced regularly to ensure that everyone is prepared and knows the appropriate procedures in the event of an emergency.
Please be assured:
This is only a drill.
All students and staff are safe.
The drill is being conducted in coordination with established safety protocols.
We understand that hearing about a lockdown can be concerning, and we appreciate your continued support as we work to maintain a safe learning environment for all.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office at 410.632.5130.

We are organizing a casual dress week to support one of our students, Brayden in Mrs. Ballance's class, who recently lost his father in a tragic work accident. This is a small way we can come together as a school community to show care and compassion during an incredibly difficult time.
Staff are invited to participate in a casual week for a donation of $15. All proceeds will go directly to support the student and his family. If you would like to participate, you can either pay Ms. Tapman or use Venmo, @PES_21851.
Thank you for helping us wrap this student in love and support.
