Mr.Joshua Hamborsky, Principal

Mr. Hamborsky grew up in western Pennsylvania where he grew passionate for education, fly fishing and skiing. He attended California University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. He quickly got into the classroom but was eager to continue his pursuit of becoming a leader in education. Searching for a place to support his graduate studies and supply him with rich experiences in the classroom, he found Worcester County Public Schools. In 2008, Mr. Hamborsky was hired to teach 4th grade at Snow Hill Middle School. After 2 years, he enrolled in Wilmington University's Educational Leadership Program. Two short years later, he earned a master's degree in educational leadership. In 2013, Mr. Hamborsky switched roles at Snow Hill Middle School. In his new role, he would primarily teach model lessons to 4th and 5th grade classrooms. The lessons were very hands on and project based. His classroom served as a lab site for both teachers and students. The following year, Mr. Hamborsky was appointed as the assistant principal at Showell Elementary School. He served on a number of district committees and lead numerous initiatives in this role. One notable role was the district Process Expert for the 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning. In 2014, Mr. Hamborsky was named the assistant principal of Snow Hill High School. Over the next 4 years, Mr. Hamborsky learned a tremendous amount from different leaders and programs such as the Promising Principals Academy. In 2021, Mr. Hamborsky was appointed as Pocomoke Elementary School's Principal. Mr. Hamborsky has a drive to get students what they need to be successful that can be observed any time you are around him. He loves his students and school and there isn't a person who questions that. He proudly serves his school community.

Mr. Matthew Hoffman, Assistant Principal

Mr. Hoffman grew up in central Pennsylvania, where he developed a passion for the outdoors and athletics. He competed in weightlifting, wrestling, football, soccer and track. He followed his love for wrestling to Lycoming College, in Williamsport, PA. He was a member of the Lycoming varsity team for 3 years and graduated with a dual major in Elementary Education and Sociology. Shortly after graduating, he accepted a position teaching 2nd grade in Accomack County, Virginia. He has taught 2nd and 5th grades for 11 years in Virginia, North Carolina, and then Maryland. In 2016, he became an Assistant Principal at Pocomoke High School. At the high school, he was the After School Academy Coordinator, member of the PBIS/Tribes team, and leader of the Safety team. At the beginning of the 2023 school year, Mr. Hoffman was transferred to Pocomoke Elementary School and named the Assistant Principal. The only thing that Mr. Hoffman enjoys more than learning and working with the staff and students of Pocomoke Elementary is spending time with his 3 boys and wife, Sarah.
